Saturday was our Baseball game in the park. It has been quite cool and raining a lot so I think we actually got through this day without too much rain and even had some sun! We got rained on a little bit when we took a break for food but then the sun came out again. We had several visitors and had a great time playing with them and talking to them again. We were also able to talk to some parents of some students who visited. We passed out more information about the Let's Start Talking program and ways they can stay in contact with the church.
Talking with visitors
We sang a few songs
The kids begged me to take them to this playground nearby.
Helping Corbin bat.
At the very end Clint wanted to bat one last time. He was running to home base and he felt a pop in his right calf muscle and he fell down in pain. :( Thankfully our friend Sven was there and he just happened to still have the crutches in his car that Jevon had been using and had just returned to him a couple days before. He also had his car there so he could take him to the emergency room. It was late evening by then. He ended up waiting at the ER for about 5 hours before he got back to the hostel. The diagnosis was a torn or maybe ruptured calf muscle. It will probably take several weeks to fully heal. Thankfully shortly after Clint fell, he started cracking jokes and laughing. I think it put everyone at ease a bit more. Later, in the ER, Mark sent me this photo of Clint.
When I originally asked what the diagnosis was, Clint said that his calf muscle was too big for his leg. :) At least he still has his sense of humor.
