It has been really cool to see how Heidi has been reacting to all the German this time. We try to practice it at home, although we don't do as much as I would like. But, since we have been here, and especially since she is getting to interact with the kids here and just everyone who speaks German, I can really tell that she is soaking it all in. This is something I overheard her say today at the school when she was looking in a fish tank and pointing at some fish:
"Das ist really groß! And das ist too!"
:) I love it!
I guess I should have titled this Heidi and Corbin's German... maybe. :)
The other day I was talking to Corbin and I said, "Danke!" and I promise it sounded like he tried to say it back! I'm sure he is soaking it up too!
