Days 12 & 13

Friday, June 14th

On Friday, we went up to the church building to help prepare for our Kids Day we were hosting. The EFG team made a really great boat out of cardboard and drew a wonderful whale on the white board for our skit over the story of Jonah. After it was all set up, it looked great! We were able to practice our skit. I will tell more about "Kindertag" for Saturday's update. :)

In the evening, we were invited by Linda and Joseph to go to dinner at their house. Linda's parents, Ellen and Peter joined us also and we were surprised to find out that our friends Marion and Fibi also came over to see us!

Day 13

Saturday, June 15th

Kindertag!!! The Kids Day was so much fun! We had invited students from a couple of school to join us for something like a mini VBS. We had singing, Jonah skit, crafts, games, snacks, an in-the-whale's-belly-experience :) and we served lunch as well. We had a few visitors and they all seemed to enjoy it. I know there was one woman I spoke to who was also interested in the English programs they have going on here so she said she would come to the next EFG Party. All-in-all, we had a great day.

That evening, we were invited to Karen's apartment and Sven also joined us. We ordered from our favorite pizza place in Chemnitz, Joey's. It was pretty tasty! We had a great time and then Heidi got to spend the night with Karen, which was a very fun treat for Heidi!
