Today we were at a vocational school for things involving working in the food industry. Some of the students there are specifically studying to be chefs, some learning to be servers and other restaurant staff and maybe even managers. So most of these students were at least teenagers or older.
We were waiting to sing for several classes.
We sang a concert for about 30 minutes. I thought it went really well!
Afterwards we broke into 3 groups and went to different classes to speak to the classes and invite them to LST parties, Baseball game and grill on Saturday and other activities.
As a thank you, the students prepared these gifts for us fresh from the school
garden. They actually grow a lot of their own fresh ingredients to use for cooking. They cut the roses and lavender from the garden as well. The jars had sour cherry jam, quince jam (I didn't know what that was but looked it up) and some had a chili chocolate sugar. It was really sweet of them.
One of our campaigners, Ginna got some good news last night. She passed her Praxis exam, which is an exam which allows her to get her teaching certificate when she graduates next semester. So we had to celebrate by getting coffee and cake after eating lunch at the school of course!
Ginna is super happy to be done with that test!
Corbin fell asleep in the stroller and slept right through coffee time. :)
In the afternoon, Clint was able to go to Mark and Karen's doctor. She said he definitely had some type of bug bite and it was infected. The biggest risk if it was a tick is Lyme disease. She put him on a strong antibiotic for 3 weeks that should kill the bacteria as well as Lyme disease of that is what it is. I'm so thankful he went to the doctor.
