Check out of the hostel was at 10 so we got all our luggage ready to go to Dresden. Part of the reason hostels are so cheap is because they don't have all the extra perks of hotels like cleaning your room, providing towels, and even soap. Basically your room consists of beds, sheets that you have to put on the bed and strip from the bed yourself, and a bathroom with toilet paper. You must provide your own towels and soap. At check out you also have to sweep your room and take the sheets off the beds and take them to the main desk. They do come every day to dump your trash cans but that is about all. For a bit extra price, we ate a very yummy breakfast there every morning. It really was a very good place to stay for a decent price. There were a couple of nights that were pretty loud with some groups having parties with loud music going on. Other than that we had a really good experience there. It was also in the downtown area and very close to lots of stores and interesting sites as well as public transportation to anywhere basically in the city.
It is quite the show with our whole group dragging our luggage across the city to the train station.
Saying goodbye to Sven. 😢
Chilling on the train to Dresden. We had a 3 day break planned to rest and get ready for our 10 days in Leipzig.
Lunch in Dresden after we arrived.
Corbin and Heidi shared a bed in the hotel in Dresden. They actually did well sleeping together. It took a little bit longer for them to go to sleep but then they did pretty well and didn't kick each other too much, that I know of.
Heidi found this in a gummy bear store.
We found a fun little play area at the mall.
Mesmerized
It was a boat.
Doing some shopping at Aldi.
