Women's Retreat

The first weekend in March I was able to go to a Women's Retreat at Burg Lichtenberg. We stayed in a youth hostel at a castle not too far from Kaiserslautern, Germany. It was a really nice youth hostel. The rooms were really like what I usually think of a youth hostel being- dirty, huge and just not that nice. The room we had was meant for about 6-7 people sleep in but we only had 5 in our room and it had it's own bathroom and shower. It was really nice. They also had a cafeteria with good food. The fellowship of course was really great. I got to meet a lot of new people and got to see friends I have known for awhile.

This looks like so much fun. Maybe I should add another annual ladies' retreat into my schedule (in addition to Filzmoos). :)

Alisha, you definitely should! This ladies' retreat was also in English. It is always fun to be able to sing English songs with women... the sound is incredible! :) You should try to go next year. Let me know if you want info.

Im just catching up on reading blogs. It is so crazy but I know Roman and Peter from Slovakia. I am an AIMer in Kosice and hung out with Peter a few times a week. Roman dated a good friend of mine so we would see him often also! How crazy is that! How are they doing? I have hear about Peter but not about Roman. He lookes great. I haven't seen either of them in 11 years!!! What a small world.
you guys look great and are doing amazing things. Keep it up.

Hi Toni,
Yeah, Roman and Peter are doing well. Peter has at least 2 kids... can't remember for sure. But he said one of them is around Heidi's age. The whole week we were there, he kept saying how his daughter is about Heidi's age and he had a good time playing with her. I think he missed his little ones! They are both really great guys and I know they are doing great things in Slovakia. How cool that you did the AIM Program there! It sure is a small world!
