I'll Fly Away

Our brother in Christ from Chemnitz, Rudolf (Rudi) Löffler, went to be with our Lord on March 14, 2009. We will be attending his memorial tomorrow afternoon. Please pray for his family and those whose lives he touched. He will be missed here on earth, but we know that he has joined our Father and is in much better hands.

"Some glad morning when this life is o'er,
I'll fly away;
To a home on God's celestial shore,
I'll fly away.

I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away.

When the shadows of this life have gone,
I'll fly away;
Like a bird from prison bars has flown,
I'll fly away.

I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away.

Just a few more weary days and then,
I'll fly away;
To a land where joy shall never end,
I'll fly away.

I'll fly away, Oh Glory
I'll fly away; (in the morning)
When I die, Hallelujah, by and by,
I'll fly away."

Karen called Larry, and Larry called us to let us know. So many mixed feelings. I'm sad that Rudi's gone...for more reasons than one...but particularly because his generation isn't too numerous in the Chemnitz church. But yay, I'm so happy for him: He made it!

Love you guys,
C.
