Last week we had a pretty bad wind storm here in Germany. Most of Europe actually had some of this storm which was supposedly the worst storm in 17 years in Europe. Thankfully, here in Chemnitz there wasn't much damage besides branches that had fallen from trees and some fences that were blown down. It was some pretty crazy wind though. In fact, I thought that I was in Oklahoma during tornado season.
The night of the storm I had a really hard time sleeping. The wind was blowing so loudly outside that I was tossing and turning. I was drifting in and out of sleep all night. At one point I was turning over to try to get comfortable and all the sudden I heard Clint say, "Ha, that is funny to hear." I thought to myself... "what in the world is he talking about... why is the wind funny to hear?" Before I could ask him what he was talking about, he sat up, leaning on his elbows and said, "You got the jeepers to the creepers and the creepers to the jeepers." Ok, now I was completely lost as to what he was talking about. Then I asked, "Are you awake?" He laid back down and said yes, but now I know that he was far from awake. I laughed to myself and couldn't wait until he was awake so I could tell him. At some point during the night the wind woke us both up at the same time and I told him what he said... he had a good laugh out of that.
I think this was the first time I have ever heard him talk in his sleep. I enjoyed it, it kept me entertained. Now if he could just remember what he was dreaming about... :)

April, that's HILARIOUS! my sister used to talk in her sleep all the time and I loved overhearing her and telling her (and everyone else) later. I'm way impressed that you remembered what he said! it's always such gibberish with my sis that the hardest part is remembering so that I CAN repeat it later. hope that Orkan didn't do any permanent damage to Clint's psyche--we're talkin serious business when someone brings up jeepers and creepers! :)
That is still the funniest thing I've heard since Larry's dream where he left Clint in hell!!!! Oh my goodness, if I could just remember my dreams.
This is absolutly funny!! I remember my sister told a story: When she was a little girl, she used to sleep sometimes in my mother's bed. One night my mother - dreaming - said something like "Oh, I would like to do that so very much". My sister, awoke by her voice, asked her: "What?" And my mother answered (still sleeping!): "Well, ice-skating!!!" When my sister told us about that the next morning she couldn't remember, but we had a good laugh!
I guess I talk in my sleep, usually gibberish too, but my mom once said that she heard me and my brother talking one night. She came to the hallway to tell us to hush, and realized that we were both asleep, conversing down the hall. She said we must have been having a great conversation, because she couldn't understand a word!
Alias, Vaughn to Sydney: You said "don't frost the pie". You seemed adamant!
THat's so funny! Good story!
Thanks to everyone for their funny stories and comments! I loved this one too... I couldn't help but share it with everyone! :)
Well, I can only report that during the past night, Ed only laughed in his sleep. So nothing too exciting.
One time, though, I was talking to him, thinking he was awake. I asked him something about Clyde Antwine. Ed rolled over and frowned, his eyes still closed, and said, "Who's Clyde Antwine?" That was when I realized he wasn't really awake! ;o)
I'd still love to know just what Clint was dreaming at that point. ;o)
You and me both Court! (I would like to know what Clint was dreaming, that is...) :)
