The Tower Bridge

The Tower Bridge Posted by Picasa

No, it's not the London Bridge. Did you know that one of the first London Bridges is somewhere in Arizona? Thanks to my Dad and Clint I was informed that a man bought the London Bridge and took it over to Arizona.

*Later note: You can check it out on Wikipedia.

It resides in Lake Havisu City, Arizona, on the border with California. It "fell down" (was sinking) because it was so heavy. It was originally all made of granite. When it was moved to Arizona, they took out the middle underside, and replaced the heavy granite with lighter concrete. They also have authentic English lamp posts. It is a neat little vacation if you ever get the chance.

By the way, April April.....I notice that the infamous street sign picture is missing from your online Scotland collection here. Hmmm, I wonder why? ;oD

Court,
Yeah, I know. That is only because I had too many pictures to upload and couldn't do them all, but now we have more space so maybe I will go back and add some. ;)
